To start take a look at the active ingredients on your current cleansing products- if you can get as little alcohol as possible, perhaps try a 1.5% salicylic acid soapy cleanser and try to minimize the strokes to apply and wipe/wash it off. I rec a light moisturizer, Neutrogena has some for your face. You may still want to check with a derm to see if you have eczema.

Maybe something with oil but direct oil isn’t good for someone with sensitive skin. I’d recommend a toner w/spot application in place of an astringent as well, as they tend to have a lot of alcohol which dries skin.

So my uncle used a pin to "free" some of the hairs on my beard that may be prone to growing back into my skin.

I'm letting my hair grow out for the next 2-3 months to let my skin heal. I'll only shape up the beard, at most. In the mean time I'll research different products. Time sometimes is the best remedy.

I just let my beard grow out. It's worked so far. I had cut off all my hair then let it grow. If I do shave in the future, I won't go all the way down.

was trimming my beard this morning and accidentally applied too much pressure with the clippers cut too deep into my beard and gave myself a slight patch on my right cheek :francis:

it's not too bad and it'll definitely fill back in within a week or two but it's still kinda annoying

In other news, this Jamaican BCO has been very good for beard hair health. I doesn't fill in those smooth bald spots I though it would but as far as health of my beard it's been good. When this supply runs out I'll look at other products that might help promote growth.

I'll say I'm pretty content with my beard so far, I'd say it's a 7/10. A few "issues" though

1. I have a small, smooth bald spot underneath my chin. About the size of a thumbnail and there's no hair there whatsoever. When I comb out the beard it's covered up though, for the most part.
2. A small patch on the left side of my beard where the cheek hit's the jaw. One on the right side as well but to a lesser extent. When combed out, again, its not not as noticeable.
3. Goatee hasn't fully connected.
4. The beard on my cheeks aren't symmetrical in shape and the "top" part of the beard closer to the nose grows "longer" than the bottom part. So there's this "top" heavy slant.

I just really started growing out the beard early this year and I know it'll take time to really fill out.

My beard has been itching a storm. I think it's when I went to the barber and he picked it out before he trimmed it down. I think his pick (metal) might have given me some microscopic cuts.

I don't want to shave down the beard but man it's been itching a storm.

Does anybody in here know how to get waves with coarse hair?

I've tried everything.

Every time I Brush my sides and back a line forms, I can't find/don't know how to brush my crown.

I've tried emulating angles from YouTube videos I've watched and nothing works.

Brehs I just started out on my quest to get waves. Just got a cut yesterday. Do I start with a medium brush?
