Is Eskimo Dance similar to Summer Jam?

Id say yes and no

summer jam is a once a year thing, eskimo dance is very frequent these days, but hardly anyone "performs songs"

eskimo dance is pretty much like sting minus the clashing but sometimes you do get clashes

eski is still one of the grime scenes top raves tho, after that its all pretty normal, like we dont have much pay per view events :skip: eskimo dance is like our wrestlamania

So I guess it's a rave and it's a contest of who can rock the crowd the most? Excuse my "ignorance" just expanding my music taste. First I heard of Eskimo Dance was on New Banger :skip:

yeah thats it tbh

like for the younger mc's that grew up on grime most of them just dream of getting on stage and getting a wheel up/reload and thats it their mission is complete but for me major improvements can be made to the eskimo dance format , one day tho

Newham Generals are the kings of eskimo dance in my opinion cause they actually perform their hit songs and do a set over random beats at the end so you get 2 for 2

I'm surprised no one really spoke about Skeptas set at Glastonbury a couple weeks back, guy played full Grime set on their main stage....pretty groundbreaking if you ask me. No one seemed to care for it for some reason.

cause its skepta and has a lot of heat on him at the moment, he's done a lot in the year so its kinda like "eh ok keep goin"

i dont know much about glasto or even care about it but i know people talked about him being on the triangle stage (i guess thats the main stage?)

its a good look and shows how far his come but its like meh it was bound to happen, he's at the top

if it was like a new mc with mad heat i can understand people being hype about it, but its skepta so its like people care and people dont care at the same time, nice of him to bring novelist and shorty on stage with him too.
