The ironic thing is if they made the chars all unlockable in game and just charged for cosmetics and lvl boosts etc this would be one of the most flawless f2p games ever. I make good bread but Im no dummy. I would gladly throw them 20 to unlock the fire sword nikka and another 10 for a costume lol. But I cain in good faith give them a penny.

This isnt my first Ive played mad gachas

I got like 3k hours on granblue fantasy. I got lucky with rolls on this (qiqi, xuan, fish) so Ill fukk with it

GBF vet over here. Only reason I quit is because my save data didn't properly transfer to my new phone. I was lowkey devastated. You know as well as I do that once you hit DL on a gacha game, it's over.
This game hella addictive. Really played it for 6+ hours yesterday just exploring the map. All I wanted was Diluc for those dirty ass combos but I ended up with Razor who ended up being just as hard with a whole jojo Stand backing him up.

Word of warning, you don't really gotta level up a sword for the main character. You get a free 4* sword from Adventure Rank 10:

An additional word of warning, don't use the books and random items to level yourself up. You can, but early game you get so much EXP from quests that it's a waste. Especially if you hit a road block and can't Ascend immediately.

Word of warning, you don't really gotta level up a sword for the main character. You get a free 4* sword from Adventure Rank 10:

An additional word of warning, don't use the books and random items to level yourself up. You can, but early game you get so much EXP from quests that it's a waste. Especially if you hit a road block and can't Ascend immediately.

If you play a lot like I have those exp crystals drop like candy, you don’t have to level a sword but I powered up a few 4 star weapons to 20 just to hit even more harder

If you do a particular quest in the open world, you can loot a chest that contains the materials to craft a solid 4* claymore as well. Also, I wouldn't worry about the lower exp books. The max purple Hero exp books drop like candy if you explore the world and open the "Exquisite" and "Precious" chests guarded by monsters and random bosses. On a sidenote, I forgot this game had co-op. Coli boss raids soon?

True.

Here maybe this will hit home better. Imagine in DMC you had to pay real money, or wait a couple years to use every tool in Dantes kit. And then multiply that by however many playable characters. Thats this game. You can say you enjoy it atm and still aknowledge this has wildly anti consumer leanings.

While it definitely doesn't take years to learn DMC5's toolkits in-game, I believe there actually was an option to purchase them with real money.
