When he fukks up like this I wonder if he should have retired. Then he pulls out that gap in the final laps.

I am disappointed but still know if he gets the right car the rest of the grid is fukked.

Sparing a thought for Piastri. I hope Lewis gives him an apology.

This isn't the first time I have seen Lewis misjudge things on a straight recently though. I dunno but it worries me.
:childplease: Relax breh. It's racing. This is how nikkas were crying about Albon. If only he didnt have that contact with Lewis, he would still be at RB winning races galore. Oscar had already lost that battle. He should have tapped the brakes to live to fight another day. But it's LH so nikkas gotta make a statement.

Lmao its funny how you dont hear "Its mostly the car" argument made against Verstappen lol
David Coulthard was quick to juelz it away at the end of the race today. Talmbout people say he has the fastest car bu bu but it's how he uses it

Earlier in the broadcast saying bu bu but it's not about your teammate it's about your contenders

Pretending to be impartial knowing good and well Red Bull still butters his bread.

It's racing. But it's also Lewis, for all my time watching him I have seen mistakes but never on a straight, going wheel to wheel. This feels like the 2nd or the third time this has happened in the last year and a half, where he just drifts over too soon.

I am not talking about what Oscar should have done. Oscar did what he had to do, make it as hard as possible for the opposition to pass, especially late in the race. I don't care about any of that shyt, all I am saying is that I see mistakes creeping in Lewis' racecraft that weren't always there, and it concerns me.

Yeah after the Abu Dhabi fiasco I couldn't take him seriously any more. Stopped watching Channel 4 and if I see him taking anywhere he gets the Horner treatment. Straight mute.

:heh: My guy, really? He's definitely had plenty of bumps with other cars going back to day one in the McLaren days. All drivers do, but they're not LH so there isn't a magnifying glass on their mistakes. He's not an unflappable racebot. Most recently, when people bring up all of Max's coming together moments, folks say he "had" to do that because the car wasn't great. So I suggest you adopt that same line of thinking.

I think Lewis expected Piastri to pull back going into that corner, since he was on the outside and behind Lewis, but he should've taken into account that Piastri is still a rookie.

Jesus Christ breh, I did not generalise his incidents, racing incidents happen. I am just pointing out a specific incident on straights where I see a mistake I wouldn't expect to see from Lewis.

It's like in that specific scenario he no longer judges distances well. Racing in corners he is still excellent, look at the moves he pulled off in this race.

If you look at my posting history you will know what I have to say about Max's racecraft, so don't bring him up to me, I don't care how he races because his "we all crash" style is poor.

:hubie: It's all love between you and I my guy. It's hard to convey tone online. I'm not pressing you. Perfection just isn't a real thing, and I just have no tears for Oscar since he already cut a corner before and ran Lewis off without the stewards caring to look. Lewis is driving a great season against a highly competitive teammate. I do get frustrated that anytime Lewis has a mediocre weekend people run around like the sky is falling. I see this across every F1 space I'm engaged in. I wont lie. It gets annoying. Who else on the grid has a such a competitive teammate and still has them clearly in hand? He's doing fine and ready for Merc to get 2024 right so he can compete for another title.
