A good PU program would cost hundreds of millions to develop.But why don't they do they own? Red Bull does
It's an expensive venture. Recall that these engines have been around and under development since 2014. Almost a decade of knowledge to catch up on. Red Bull only has their own because Honda was probably tired of getting spanked and was about to pull out. Ferrari and Mercedes didn't want to supply their ass, and they spent like 6 or 7 years talking mad shyt on Renault and burned those bridges. So they took over the Honda engine IP. Some think it's in preparation for Porsche to take over.But why don't they do they own? Red Bull does
