Fam, United are like a cult. The fans and players buy into this United way like crazy. Their arrogance/delusion since the season ended has been, "Oh we will be back next season, no worries." And this belief that Kroos, Cavani, Fabregas, and Hummels are dying to join a United side is wild to me. No Hate just looking from the outside.[...]

No hate but these brehs like "We Man U, we'll be back " as if there was some sort of magic happening around the club which would prevent them to experience dark ages. No CL, no EL but they really think the United jersey alone will make him sign world class players ? Last year, this same United jersey (combined with being in the CL) only managed to sign Fellaini ffs. And United may have a great history and tradition they don't have the paycheck to beat Chelsea or City (in the EPL) or even clubs like Monaco who can afford mercenaries like Falcao. So no European competition, no riches but we have to believe that somehow they'll be back just like that. It's hard to be humble when one has known greatness but United fans better lower their expectations just in case shyt hits the fan. At least they have a great coach now.

united fans are delusional. they were great cause of fergie. great clubs have won trophies with multiple managers. united are going the liverpool route. its gonna be hard signing players who would forgo a year or two without european football. that being said, klopp better come to arsenal in 3 years.

EDIT : I ask because Man U is the most indebted football club in the world. Way in front of Valencia and Arsenal for example. Arsenal got to repay the Emirates Stadium and that's the reason they can afford to sign too much players. And Man U has like 150M$ more debt than them (but more revenue and income sure). I don't think the Glazers will in-debt themselves more to buy luxury players at that rate. But maybe there is something that I don't know.

By the way, talking about debts. How does Chelsea pass the FFP ? Does'nt Abrahamovitch have the club in a $1Bn debt ?
