And what makes it worse is that many of these kids are decent and could do a job if given the chance. They look promising up until they reach 19-20 and then completely fall off the radar. And then the hype begins again with another 15-16 year old, it's absolutely pointless following them at this point.

The current Chelsea youth set-up has a lot of talented young players - I'm talking a good 10-12 players - but I guarantee you not a single one will make it here. They may as well sell the lot with buy-back clauses.

We have a manager that has referred to Hazard, Schurrle and Oscar as babies so what chance do any of the current youngsters have?

Not really tbh, it's not like it's a springboard to first team involvement. If anything it's glorified shop-window.

A 17 year old McEachran more than held his own in a Champions League away game in Marseille and now he barely gets a look in for the England U21s.
