Economies dominated by oil tend to have that sector crowding out everything else and the fact that they are not as labor intensive means not everyone can eat unless you have a very small population and produce many barrels per day like Kuwait, Qatar, and Norway. Naturally state involvement sometimes ends up with a few politicians eating and the Gulf countries probably produce so much of the stuff that they end up creating welfare states and giving citizens the left over money after they eat. I maybe wrong about Trinidad but commodity based economies tend to have similar structures.
Certainly on the money here, but the whats surprising to me about Trinidad is they also have a very small population( wiki says 1 million) yet a pretty big diaspora. Not expecting people to be Gulf rich, but you'd think an economy of that size in a country that small would create demand for employment in the service sector at least. They do seem to have a pretty decent education system in place as well.

Canada takes in everyone until they realize what's going on. All the islands eat off Canada.

Only a select few see the big money and 9x out of 10 it's an Indian face.

Guyana is another country that corrupt but they haven't reaped the $$$ benefit yet. Should really an economic force in Latin America.

:lupe:

Indians eating everywhere from the West Indies to Africa. Richest dudes in places with big Indian populations like Tanzania are Indian as well. They dominate trade in Zambia. Villas in their neighborhoods in Lusaka are :wow:

Toronto got a boatload of them bad brown Caribbean chicks :noah:

Man back in the day it seemed like commentators just got their job easy as hell. Like I'll be reading some wiki pages and it will say "Donny Playbyplay started his career as a journalist for a small paper. The next year, he started working at FauxTV as a commentator for league matches" :dahell:
