It really is engrained in the culture as you say. You're in Frankfurt right? But like most big cities they will be first to be a "little" bit more comfortable with change. But it really only is youth culture that has created the outpouring of more liberal ideals. German engineering and teutonic lack of humour are stereotypes that originated somewhere....

i was in frankfurt before. then i moved to another city. now 'now' i'm in the DMV, in maryland/DC.

That's the right's modus operandi in general not just in Germany, they just push traditonal/status quo shyt, it's the easiest thing ever to appeal to general consensus

you don't know german conservatism. it is driven bottom up, not top down.

"everything that is not expressly allowed is forbidden" (possible)
-- deutsche Meinung

"order must be"
-- deutsche Spruche

"work makes you free"
-- deutsche Spruche

"kitchen, church, children (for women)"
-- deutsche Spruche

Was watching live and I have no time at all for Mic00n but :salute: to both him and Danny for shutting that shyt down expeditiously
That Brexit scouser thinks the world revolves around the PL and Engerland

AFCON was 100x more entertaining than that boring Euros

Romania, Czechia, Albania, Slovakia, Hungary are not exactly world fukking beaters

1 of those is not like the others :whoa:but 100%, to act like AFCON is not a major tourney on the same level as Euros or Copa is laughable and despicable :hhh: and Carra dead wrong for that and rightly got checked :birdman:

Easily the best quality of football played at AFCON I’ve seen in my lifetime, we need to carry on the momentum and I think this year’s will be even better :wow: we also need African teams to do some damage next year at the WC just like Morocco did.

I’m already seeing for us some nikkas at the youth team level already making the switch rather than wait for years hoping on a call up to the senior side. The infrastructure needs to be better, we need to cut out the corruption and bullshyt in African feds and we need to be targeting these second generation kids much earlier in the process, that the majority have all grown up in culturally African households regardless of birth country.

it's true.

also

"The lion’s share of the AfD’s votes, however, came from eastern Germany, where they won a huge majority of the states, losing out only in Leipzig and Berlin. By contrast, in the west, they won just two states, Gelsenkirchen near Dusseldorf and Kaiserslautern towards the border with France, both by a thin margin over the CDU. The CDU nonetheless won a large share of the rest of the western states."

so schalke 04 (or 07 as MU remember them) and kaiserlauten.

i can imagine that a lot of areas around dusseldorf were a close thing.

Would love to see all these "power houses" lose "their" talentpools once the youth dem see how colonialism has them in these euro countries. France losing all their talent and going back to picking only Cacs and becoming shyt.... the meltdown they would have would be glorious...

Are the voting breakdowns by region available? I wanted to see them..... I'm surprised they won Gelsingkerchin... considering how workimg class it is.... even with Schalke 04 having that special sponsor on their shirt this weekend.... I guess it is reasonable considering employment conditions in the area and the AfD being like all right wing parties, attaching themselves to a disenfranchised group

dusseldorf is in the "refined" west though.

they are snobby, elitist and intellectual (they think) compared to what they see as the farmers and machinists down south, with funny accents, fashion and dances.

in dusseldorf you have the lawyers, consultants, journalists, independently rich and wealthy state apparatus as it is the capital of the biggest german state NRW. (not the wealthiest buy capita by far state though). the urbane sophisticates of german society (in the own minds) along with hamburgers.

you can feel the :mjpls: everywhere there .

dusseldorfians tell you straight that they speak the best accent free german (if such a thing exists) in the german speaking world. and in the world of multiple german accents and dialects, that's an important title.
