even madrid take a chance on a non-obvious profiles, but when it doesn't work out they act quickly.

since 2000 loptegui lasted 14 games. benitez 25 games. juande ramos 27. lopez caro 24.

since 2000 only 2 of their managers have lasted 200 games+. Mou lasted 3 years / 178. Zizou is a special case at 149.

When it comes to coaches,Bayern, Madrid chelsea, and to an extent Juve and barca are anomalies...they fire coaches because they looked at president the wrong way...coaches should be given time in general...

My point is, that keeping a coach or player because their is no one of note aka big name available is a flawed way of doing things for most clubs...by year two Núñez was no good and people still wanted a 3rd year and got worse..Diaz ,Jones to an extend are players that are just not good enough or not enough consistency to play for a side that wants to win
