A. That was on Poch. Everyone knows Kane is useless as phuck when he first comes back from injury. Should of been on the bench.

B. The most likely call ups for strikers are all with the u21's. Could of called up Sturridge for old times sake, but that ship has sailed, tbh.

100% agreed. That decision is all Poch and no one else.

With the rules are it is. Its definitely a penalty. The rule needs to be reworded and clarified though.

Really, you think? Seemed ridiculous to me, apparently it was for "unnatural arm movement" but when your in motion like that having your arms hidden or behind your back would seem unnatural.

Unless teams start training defenders with their hands tied behind their backs for next season, there's gonna be a shyt ton of pens

I get what you're saying but the rule doesn't allow for what you're saying. If your arm is away from your body like that and the ball hits it you can't have to many complaints.

From the laws of the game:

if a player’s arm is in an unnatural position, for example outstretched or above their head, then a foul should be awarded whether accidental or not

IMO, the rule should allow for ref's judgment re: "deliberate" and "not deliberate" handballs. Like that handball in Scotland/England was not deliberate, and neither was the one on Sissoko in the CL final last weekend, so (if I had the power) it would rate a free kick from outside the box. Deliberate handballs get PKs.

There would still be argument over what a deliberate handball is, but at least there wouldn't be the incentive for the attacker to kick the ball at an outstretched arm to get a cheap penalty.

----

Scotland got that first goal, but now they are continuing to try to play out of the back instead of getting the ball up the field. They took ten minutes to put a ball long and immediately connected. No urgency from them here.

Gregg berhalter is such a obvious pawn for the MLS. Josh Sargent wasted his entire summer doing nothing when he could have at least been on the u20 team with Soto and weah and then come to find out he isn't even going to play on the senior squad.:francis: This is one of many reasons why people don't care about the usmnt.
