The whole thing has been a diabolical disaster.

Wenger must've been in a dream world when he thought that plan up.

Even Walcotts got above his station, I'd sell everyone of that 2008ish team and start again (they more or less have), project youth seems rotten to the core.

Pay people for what they've done, not what you think they're gonna do, cos alot of them get on decent wages and seem to stop even trying, which I fully expect ADe to do now over at tottenham, which will be a bonus at least.
it's a tough balance though.

if you pay for what they've done now, it's very very easy for them to leave. they have no loyalty so if they can force their way out for more money.... they will. the only way to prevent it is to give them long term deals with good wages.

at that point you're making a judgment on them and it can be wrong.... bendtner, squillaci, denilson....

the wage bill is high but we didn't lose RVP solely over money. utd will be competing for more than us and the way to match that isn't offering him a bigger contract.

:stopitslime:We may not need him, but we need someone else, desperately
agreed, buying sahin wouldn't have changed that.

say wilshere gets fit in 2 months (stop laughing)... what's the point of blowing 10 million on a one season loan when we could put that towards buying a top player in the position we do actually need.

players will come in before the window closes, arsene just waiting for jim white to be there to announce it.
