In Disgrachamps defence. He had Pogba in a 3 in the Euro's and the team wasnt playing particularly great, Kante got suspended and he got pushed back into a 2 midfield. Griezmann was moved to the #10 role and the team looked better and since then Disgrachamps has stuck with that formation.
Other than that you would have to go all the way back to 11/12 to when he played as a DM.

Dude has talent but outside of Juventus hasn't looked consistently good. Matics defensive disicipline was supposed to unleash Pogba. It's easy for him to style on West Brom but that Spurs game showed he has a ways to go to being a top player.

The issue is, in the big games, he needs another passer in the team with him. Because if United dont score first and early, so they can then set up to counter, everything is left to him to dictate the play.
If you look at the 2 players compatible to Pogba, Yaya & Vieria, they had David Silva and Bergkamp, higher up to help with the play making/link play.
