How John Terry's final days at Chelsea could play out
Monday, May 9
Terry travelled to Denmark to watch Brondby play in Copenhagen. The Danish club are owned by his friend Jan Bech Andersen and he has previously been linked with a management role at the club.
Tuesday, May 10
Having made the quick dash back across Europe, Terry is expected to report for training at Cobham as usual. He has had his fair share of fitness problems this season but is fit again having played in the club’s last two fixtures.

Chelsea face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Anfield. Blues manager Guus Hiddink will be unable to select Terry as he serves the first of his two-game suspension against the Reds on Merseyside.
Thursday, May 12
The Blues are likely to be given the day off after their exertions in Liverpool the previous night. Recovery time is crucial for the squad to avoid injuries, particularly in the latter stages of the season.
Friday & Saturday, May 13 & 14
Training resumes at Cobham as attention turns to Chelsea’s final remaining Premier League fixture of the 2015-16 season. Terry is expected to continue working on his fitness with the group despite his continued suspension.
Sunday, May 15
Leicester come to Stamford Bridge to bring the curtain down on the campaign. Terry will be in attendance and take in the game from the comfort of a private box before joining the squad on the pitch for a lap of honour and followed by a bash at the club’s Under the Bridge music venue.

Having been confined to the stands for the Leicester game, Terry will finally get the chance to take to the field one last time for a farewell party after it emerged he is hiring out Stamford Bridge for a game with his close pals. Chelsea are waiving the pitch hire fee.

The countdown begins until the expiry of Terry’s Chelsea contract at the end of June. Unless the club have a late change of heart, the captain will begin looking for a new club for next season.

Football is about to get new rules that will massively change the game — here are the important ones

Football fans who keep a close eye on the upcoming England friendlies in May could notice some important changes in the rules.
Although the new laws don't officially come into effect until June 1, England has agreed with the International Football Association Board to have them implemented before that.
Here are the main ones to look out for:
- No more "triple punishments" — Genuine attempts to play the ball by "last line of defence" defenders or goalies which bring down opponents will no longer result in the triple punishment of a red card, penalty, and suspension. Yellow cards will be used instead unless the foul was particularly brutal or there was a handball.
- More water breaks — Perhaps anticipating the temperatures of the upcoming Qatar World Cup, players will be permitted a brief time-out to drink some water in particularly hot playing conditions.
- No more fake penalty kicks — A favourite tactic of Lionel Messi, sending the keeper diving the wrong way with a pretend "pre-kick" is no longer allowed. Penalty takers must now follow through with their penalty kicks in one movement.
- Pre-match bad behaviour can be punished — Previously the game would have to start before a player could be sent off by the referee, but now bad behaviour, for instance in the warm-up period, can result in a red card before the match even begins.
- Players don't have to leave the pitch to get treatment — If a player is fouled enough to warrant a card, they can receive a brief spell of treatment on the pitch. Previously they would have to be stretchered off.
- Kick-offs can now go backwards — Traditionally the ball would have to be passed forward, but now it can go in any direction as long as one other player is in the centre circle.
When Luis Suarez blocked a certain goal with his hands on the goal line in the Uruguay-Ghana match in the 2010 World Cup, he was sent off and Ghana was given a penalty (which they missed). Under the proposed new law such an act would result in an instant goal for the other team.
England will play Turkey on May 22 and Australia on May 27. Their final game before the tournament is against Portugal on June 2.
