As a left back he's probably second only to Lahm but as a winger he's just above average.

he was one footed, but he was a great crosser. Is Bale even a good crosser of the ball? And lets not even go into dead ball situations. DBecks wasnt running around like a headless chicken because he wanted "freedom." like Bale does.


There are probably other players you can compare Bale too, but DBecks wouldnt be first on my mind, and I believe that is true of others minds too.
