If he had left after season 3 or 4 (obviously year 4 was the covid season and made a move harder for him in the summer 2020. Before someone brings it up) he would of been more fondly remembered but he stayed and they couldn't wait for him to leave by the end.

That's makes it even worse.

We talking about him. His first 3 years good still had the fall out with Mourinho within that period and threats to leave. The second 3 years between his injuries more threats to leave and the level of performances he was putting in varied from good to bad and somewhere in between. Inconsistency he wasnt really showing in years 1 or 2. Was showing it in year 3 before Mourinho got sacked and Ole came in and his form picked up.

Like I already said if he left after season 3 or 4 he would of been more fondly remembered but he stayed long enough to become a villain at United.
