Or make you a target. Depending on your pov of course.

Does he still have a contract at City?

City just released a statement

Manchester City FC notes the verdict from Chester Crown Court today, where a jury has found Benjamin Mendy not guilty of seven charges. The jury is hung on two charges and the trial is now over.
Given there are open matters related to this case, the Club is not in a position to comment further at this time.

never rated him

just another workhorse with heart and grit.

fukk all that. chelsea needs talented players with tekkers.

Mount was good two seasons ago but it seems like that player ain't coming back. He has been awful for at least 12-15 months so I fully understand the criticism and those that want him gone.

As for the bold that's the whole issue really. We have a lot of unskilled, technically deficient ballers.

Wow…..his reputation is ruined despite being innocent.
Being found not guilty is not the same as being innocent. It just means the evidence wasn’t enough to convict.

True, but when 6 different women are accusing the same man of rape, how much smoke do we have to see before admitting there’s possibly a fire? :patrice: And the fact they came to a unanimous decision on all but one is… :francis:

That's been England's problem for decades until players like Trent, Kane, Saka and Jude came along. All them work men and engine room players and no skilled players and true finishers. If they can find a decent replacement for Kane (which will be hard) England is going to be a force for the next decade.

Now on to Chelsea. The problem is they HAVE TOO MANY of the players you're talking about. Zyiech, Joao, Havertz, Pulisic, Gallagher, and Sterling. All of them are "skill" players. The problem is with no Kante (or anyone like him) they got no stability in the middle of the park. Not to mention, the best defender is some how STILL Tiago Silva. :dahell:

Too many tekkers in the kitchen. What they don't have is a midfield destroyer. PURE WINGERS (besides Raheem) and a pair of wing backs that can stay healthy.

But more than that, this is a team that's been cobbled together from the ashes of FOUR managers. That's FOUR very distinct styles of play. None of the big six clubs have had more transition over the past five years than Chelsea. Not even Spurs and Arsenal.

Yeah,
I apologize to Mendy for calling him a creep :hubie:

I should have known about these trifling hoes
Yeah, while you assume that at least one person told the truth, they would be swallowed up by the ones who were just gold digging.

Though the jury was repeatedly told there was no “right” way for a victim to behave, Laws focused a lot on what the women said and did after the alleged rapes. Some of the women whom Mendy was ultimately cleared of raping sent messages to friends expressing what Laws described as “unbridled joy and giddiness” about the night they’d just had. They then “reframed” their narrative after Mendy’s arrest was made public, Laws suggested.
Cases got picked apart
Mendy told the jury that they ended on good terms and that he then went to have sex again with her friend. He said that when he went to training the next morning, he returned to find both women playing table tennis happily. When she gave evidence, Woman 5 became angry at Laws’ questioning, calling her “a disgrace to womankind”.

Mendy was also cleared of raping Woman 4, who met Mendy on what the prosecution called “the Manchester scene”.

The evening after she alleged that Mendy raped her in his cinema room, Woman 4 was seen hugging him at a Manchester nightclub, Chinawhite. The jury was shown CCTV footage of her approaching the footballer and dancing suggestively into him.
