CIV has been moving the ball well, but at AFCON there was ugly play. Maybe it’s playing
to your opponent, or maybe the pitch/heat. Maybe it’s contrast in styles as well.

He was playing as an 8 under Gerrard. Not sure what Rangers are playing under Gio. But I can see why he would be positioned as an 8 in a midfield 3. His ability to drive from deep and pass.
