I thought he was a Cameroon international but when I checked he wasn't. Mainly due to the team being fairly new to international football (first international was in 56) when he was a professional.

I would make Senegal favourites for the final just for the simple fact that Egypt have played 3 ET's and will have heavy legs. Only way I can Egypt winning is by shythousing their way to pens.

Yep, they haven't really played much this AFCON. That match against CIV shouldn't even have gone to PKs. CIV didn't take their chances.

AFCON 2006: 1-1 (Nigeria beat Tunisia, Egypt beat CIV in the final)
AFCON 2004: 1-0 to N. Africans (Tunisia beat Nigeria)
AFCON 2000: 1-0 to "Black African" (S.Africa beat Tunisia)

So in the past 20 years, of the 10 matches decided by PKs in the KO rounds, N. African teams have won 7 out of 10 times compared to Black African teams. Yeah that is appalling.

Even worse, CIV has lost 2 finals on PKs. One to Egypt then again to Zambia
