Yes and No. Can claim there is a Le Resistance against the money and more established teams PSG Monaco and Lyon. And throw back in the Germans face that their league isn't as one sided even tho it is. Also it helps Lille in signing young talent which is their business model.

The fact that Ligue 1 brands itself as the league of talents kinda gives it a small time vibe tbh.
