The so called 'traditional big clubs' and Spurs sold the soul of the English game for pennies.

Innocent clubs like Chelsea and Man City forced to join against their will.

Their fans have been preaching to us for years but we finally found out who the evil guys really are. :wow:

Yeah the domino effect could be brutal. The ESL is great for those 12 but terrible for everybody else. Flo Perez motto is basically trickle down economics which we know only work for the top.

Also if those 12 clubs dont get to play in any UEFA and FIFA competitions then they do not have any incentive to hoard all the best players to be able to compete in 4 leagues/cups a year as they do now. They would probably need 23 players tops like WC squads.

And with all those lower clubs at risk, it could also pose an economical collapse for all Euro and foreign feeder clubs. That's when governments come in and regulate.

There are far more hurdles for ESL that those 12 thought.

Yup and even if they do stay in domestic the best players prob won't be playing most of those games anymore as it's meaningless . The Midweek game against a "super club" will be highlight and the weekend domestic games would be the :ehh:

FIFA are riding with UEFA ( for now imo) because uefa are their homies. But if the ESL show FIFA that mula, there's no reason why they wont fall back.

exactly the main issue i see those in here ignoring who think this isnt an issue of greed hyper capitalism

not only does it break the game in the sense you are talking. but these mugs think they can implement this NEXT SEASON! without any forewarning for the rest of these clubs and nations to figure out how to survive. its a complete joke.

i can see some owners threatening to sell off if this doesnt go through. and that would ultimately be the best thing for the sport even if it were to mean my club sold(doubt it).

these owners want the ability to be perennial losers and still get paid for it. some of these mf woudlnt have a problem being the pittburgh pirates of ESL and never really have to compete just do enough to have money to complete any business dealings within the club and for their other businesses!
