Chelsea if they get their defense together :lupe:

They need a proper CB leader at the back. But even then that's no guarantee that it will turn into clean sheets, if they get that type of player. The way Chelsea want to play, isnt really conducive to keeping it tight.

Not sure what LB they can get for Jan, but that is really needed as well.

Biggest mistake at Arsenal was Wenger not moving up to a front office position bout 7/8 years ago.

A lot of us don't wanna say it, but Wenger having his hands in too many things has played a big part in this.

100% right. Problem with Wenger, he didn't trust a single person once Dein was removed after the fail coup.

How different things would of been if Bracewell-Smith said yes instead.

It’s two things.

It’s not that Wenger wasn’t moved into an executive position, but that he and Dein were the only visionaries at the club. The old board was happy with being a decent sized club in North London (This is why I don’t understand why Arsenal fans venerate Fiszman and them. They had no vision and were totally fine with being a mid-tier club.) It was Dein and Wenger who saw the club’s potential and pushed for that.

When Dein was let go, like you said, Wenger trusted no one there with good reason. At that point it was all about maintenance and not ambition.

The old board, being conservatives, liked Kroenke because he is stable. Tbf to Kroenke, he has been that and has allowed the club to spend a lot. The problem is there has been no vision. Which is why Wumery was brought in and Sanllehi is doing whatever he can to just stabilize. The club is in the throes of an actual collapse that’s been in place since the 2008. Until they can bring in people with big ideas and vision, that’s this club until we are relegated and Kroenke sells the team. Raul has to go because he isn’t a visionary.

Man has gotten by because he was a Barca man for 15 years or so. When the reality is, the Citeh boyz are the ones, who got shyt done. Raul is nothing more than a glorified resourcer who has stolen the companies database.

And yeah the old board was all just old money passed down thru the generations. As long as they had their control, they were happy that the ship was steady. Stan's pinstripe game really :wow: them.
