Haaland having 3 assists thus far is incredible, especially since everyone thought he was just a goalscorer.

Haaland so far has been incredible, him winning a poll over a guy who can't put Benfica away shouldn't be surprising.
He’s been much better with the ball than I imagined. Showing glimpses what Kane would have been in this system.

Ronaldo stan in my group chat didn’t even watch the game talking about his “dummy run” being key in Rashford scoring. I can’t wait until he leaves Utd so I don’t have to put up with this shyt anymore :scust:
Been meaning to ask, what kind of group chat is this? :jbhmm:

Everytime you reference it, someone is posting some odd takes. :russ:

They would fit well in here to be honest.:mjlol:

Yeah Kane's passing would have been lethal, but we probably don't score the same # of goals and would have similar problems against low block teams like Palace and Man U

there is another player out there who has fewer goals but far more assists and who currently has the same number of assists + goals this season as Haaland.

but because he is not playing in the EPL he is not getting the press.

We all used to go school together back in the day and all we do is argue about football and politics. It’s pretty much a combo of this thread and TLR :lolbron:

Naw it’s also Messi and Neymar having better seasons, mbappe being a diva and sell out to Qatar and he’s in the farmers league in peoples eye. What haaland is doing in EPL ain’t ever been seen before

dixie dean scored 60 goals in a season in division one? sixty .

also there is a player with the same total number of assists + goals as haaland in the same number of games right now in another league.

the "whole world" is not "reading about that".

it is this notion of EPL exceptionalism it is.

let the thing breathe a bit.

Top 4

Forbes' list of highest-paid footballers 2022

1. Kylian Mbappe
2. Lionel Messi
3. Cristiano Ronaldo
4. Neymar
5. Mohamed Salah
6. Erling Haaland
7. Robert Lewandowski
8. Eden Hazard
9. Andres Iniesta
10. Kevin De Bruyne

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has emerged as the world's highest-paid football player, according to Forbes magazine, the first time a player other than Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the list in eight years.

Mbappe, 23, is estimated to earn $128 million for the 2022-23 season before agents' fees, a record for Forbes' annual rankings, with PSG team-mate Messi second at $120m and Manchester United's Ronaldo ($100m) occupying third spot.

PSG's Neymar ($87m) and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah ($53m) rounded off the top five.

Erling Haaland, who has made a blistering start to his Manchester City career after joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in the close season, makes his debut in the top 10 with earnings of $39m.

The rise of Mbappe and Haaland, the only players under the age of 30 on the list, signals a shift in the global game, the Forbes report said, as Messi and Ronaldo edge closer to the end of their glorious careers.

In total, the 10 highest paid players are expected to collect record earnings worth $652m this season, up 11% from last year's $585m.

When has the assist king ever gotten more attention than the leading goalscorer? Y'all can G+A all you want but the guy who finishes usually gets all the plaudits.
