In the long run I think that will go down as his Moyes' gravest mistake.

No matter how shyt he plays he can't be taken off, because by giving him that absurd contract and affording him sway within United's upper infrastructure, he's inexorably tied Rooney's fate to that of the club. Rooney's position at the club is now more secure than Moyes or any manager that might replace him which is insane when you consider how "loyal" he's been.

Rooney is not going to get better between now and 2019 and because he doesn't have a well defined and disciplined identity as a player he disrupts the structure of the team if he isn't held in check by a strong manager.

It has been. I've only seen Liverpool acknowledge and remember Heysel when they played Juve in the Champions League a few year back. Hillsborough is brought up at every opportunity.

Dear question the same fans who feel such emotion about Hillsborough when they will openly sing songs about Munich. Liverpool fans love being the victim but have no hesitation about being as nasty when it comes to opposing fans.

Hillsborough was just one of many tragedies. Ibrox, Heysel, Bradford City fire were just as bad but every April we have to be treated to the same show every year about Hillsborough.
