I had Mayweather 8-4, anything else is bullsh!t.

With that said, Maidana is a great BRAWLER, a rematch is useless because Floyd would have just figured out that he should stay off the ropes by then and keep it in the center where he would beat the sh!t out of dude.

Khan should be next, but that's light work for Floyd.

And :rudy: at Maidana talking about gloves when this mothafukka was fukked up enough to step in the ring at 165lbs.

this was a close fight..115-113 was my score for floyd..it would have been crazy though if the fight was stopped by the cut then maidana prolly would have won that shyt on a TD lol

I didn't like the way the announcers tried to make it seem like the cut didnt come from a head butt
Maidana didn't really damage mayweather at all, the bumps and bruises coming from their bodys banging in the clenching

He made it a dirty and gritty fight - that was his strategy. He flat out said that he knew he would never outbox Floyd so he went out and just did what he did best. This is a guy that was supposed to be cannon fodder for Mayweather according to 90% of this board. The fight was close and that's reason enough to respect him.

I can't.

There's one thing to box dirty, it's another thing to be a clown.

He turned the fight into a fukking mockery.... I have a perfect gif for it:

Ok, I can't find the gif.... But the gif where the white guy in the baseball audience holds out his hand like, "WTF is this?" while laughing.

somebody post the gif... Thats what I was doing after a while in this "fight"

And he probably won. I'm just not comfortable with saying that Floyd won by that big of a margin. He wasn't as effective and not nearly as efficient.

Floyd won but it was closer than a lot of people here think. That's why Paulie had Floyd winning but only by a point and he's a smart guy who's actually an active fighter. Maidana made it close because he was so aggressive and made it tough for Floyd. However, the cleaner punches were thrown by Floyd and down the stretch he was winning rounds while Maidana wasn't doing much.

The opposite is also true, Maidana won the early rounds because he was so aggressive and Floyd wasn't doing much yet.

I'm telling you don't sleep in Maidana, he's good at coming forward, cutting corners off and very good fighting inside.

I don't think Floyd will be able to keep a safe distance

There will def be a rematch

Thats what I said before the fight

I have no interest in watching a rematch, unless you get a ref who'll cut all the holding/hugging out by the 3rd round

This is just post-fight rationalization and compensation by stressed-out Mayweather stans. This was Floyd's hardest fight in recent memory. They'll claim Maidana performed like an amateur even though he gave Floyd actual difficulty. In short, they're Floyd stans, not boxing fans.
How about both?

Dude's willingness to run through fire and drag Floyd into his first 'fight' in years was commendable and dap-worthy as fukk but what did he actually do when he got there?

Not a fukkin thing. Floyd landed more punches throwing less. Maidana didn't do anything other than try really hard. You don't take a belt with good effort. When it comes down to boxing - he ain't there. Canelo is more deserving of a rematch. Maidana needs to take his payday and move the hell on.
