It's a difference in powerlocks and mx gloves though breh, which is what Maidana prefers. Juan Manuel Marquez just said last week that mx gloves are definitely much more dangerous, as far as power goes, in comparison.

The powerlocks are not "hulk gloves" ask Tim Bradley and if you can find Victor's jawbone from out the bushes you could ask him.

You don't break a clench when guys are not actually locked up, when they are you do. I saw only a few clinches broken that I disagreed with. Most of the clinches involved either one or both arms being completeley locked, what essentially equates to hugging, and holding a guys head or upper back down. Was there more clenching than Id normally want to see in a fight sure but Chino did his fair share of clenching too and more than once put himself in bad positions when he tried to close distance.

It's easier to take a punch from someone wearing powerlocks than it is from mx or reyes gloves...even though any time you take a punch it hurts period.

I think Floyd has a great chin period though.

The problem with that article is Juan only tried the mx's and compared them to his own glove(the reyes) he didn't try the powerlocks out so how would he know how much of a difference there really is?

The "Hulk Gloves" is a play on words. Lucas Matthysse said they are sparring gloves...Maidana said they were couch sized gloves, and another poster (I believe @krackdagawd) coined the Hulk Gloves after the Matthysse tweet was posted.

And, if you don't think Bayless was breaking up all inside fighting immediately and not warning Floyd Ruiz for his excessive clinching, that's on you. We all seen it.
