If Floyd had the confidence in his chin that you have he would have let Maidana use his gloves.
Maidana won me over in this fight I was never a big fan of his and while he did get outclassed I would bet my screen name he is going to look like a million bucks his next fight.
When he was timing Floyd's pulls with the jab in the middle rounds and saw Floyd got hip to it he hit Floyd with that feint and then his own "stab jab" I was like
As far as Floyd he was trying to hurt Maidana tonight none of that throwing hard enough to keep Maidana off of him he was trying to hurt him. I thought for sure Chino was going to take a knee off that counter uppercut to the body Floyd hit him with.
Good fight but the struggle undercard, glove fukkery, Bayless and that 12th round is going to bring Floyd's stock down for his next fight if the opponent isn't Manny imo.

you can only say a fighter "ate" a punch when he takes it and it has virtually no effect on him. floyd was visibly shaken. had to hold onto the ropes, and then was clearly still shaken for the first 1-2 minutes in round 4. he could barely even throw a punch. kinda makes you wonder how much of an effect it woulda had if maidana was wearing the MX gloves
