overall fight card was better than i expected.
i think angulo done reached gatekeeper status now, but he did buzz de la rosa late and almost got him out of there.
i ain't never really watched mickey bey before, but i thought he lost that fight. it was close and that judge should be ashamed of that wide scorecard. it just looks like the tmt stable does not have no stars in the making at all. floyd, as great of a fighter he is, hasn't found that diamond who can take over after him.
i was kinda thankful- santa cruz got dude out of there, really wasn't in the mood to peep that one for 12 rounds.
i enjoyed the main event- i do think it was extra emphasis on breaking up the infighting, but i think floyd woulda controlled this fight regardless cause he moved all night. he got buzzed at the end of 3rd or some early round real good. he's lucky the round ended then. maidana got an awkward style but it works for him. he's improved completely from that devon alexander fight, much respect to marcos. it was clear that if he wasn't throwing flurries on the ropes he had no shot in the center of the ring.
i'd like to see maidana vs anybody at 147, also wouldn't mind seeing broner try to avenge that L.
floyd did what he was supposed to do the 1st fight, early on you could see he really respects maidana power. thats kinda how he slipped, dude was so focused on not being in his range.
i think next for floyd, probably should be manny so we can just close that chapter and the what ifs. i don't think amir khan deserves that until he takes out another legit 147 contender, not no damn worn down lopez. devon alexander and guerrero are some legit, respectable names, even shawn porter
