Just like I predicted, no one would give a shyt about the Qatar controversy once the games started :heh:
I predicted this multiple times in the pre World Cup thread that was all doom and gloom about how this tournament was going to be a disaster.

So far:
-Ratings are up
-More goals than 2018
- More entertaining than 2018’s group stage

I'm loving this edition so far.

There goes the money I bet into them winning the chip. :mjcry:

How the fuk has Portugal has zero votes? They wayyyy better than Argentina

Lmao at 15 votes

It is what it is...Portugal are just a dang good team. They are my 2nd favorites to win it after Brazil.

They have a ridiculously talented and deep team. First World Cup in a while where CR7 is not their best player. Heck, he's not even their 2nd or 3rd best player. All the Man City boys + Fernandes are all better.

Vini should have been a goal.. 2-0
Nah, that's how people got got in 2014. They were winning so it's all good.

But the signs were always there.

This team had no kind of dog in them. In a game against an opponent that clearly didn't have what it takes to capitalize on that, it kinda worked out. Against top-tier competition or even a team that got enough skill for their heart to be enough to make the difference? It's a disaster waiting to happen.

They might go out sad as they did in 18 or the Suns against the Mavs last year.
