I hated tiki taka back then. I was too young to appreciate greatness. I was too used to joga bonita

Tiki-Taka is what got me into the tactics of football. Before then all I saw was long ball or some skilled player does something amazing. I literally didn't understand how human beings could be THAT methodical.

It was to a point that from 2009-ish to 2012-ish, I didn't think that Spanish team was even beatable. Once Xavi retired it was never the same.

Can’t front Spain’s style of tiki taka was quite dull at times. It lacked the flair of Barcelona but it was unbeatable at times.

Can’t score if you don’t got the ball. And if you get the ball your knackered from chasing a team for so long. And they’d pressure you like crazy.
