So if Canada get slapped tonight, is it time we had a serious dialogue about CONCACAF's FIFA membership?

I seen a lot of 1-0 nil like this but this does suck. You always want the better team to win
That's why it's so frustrating. Based on that play, if they played 9 more times I would expect Canada to win all nine. They were that dominant. Do all that and then fail to score....smh.

The ”better team” are the ones who put the ball in the net.

Canada played super exciting tho… if they make sure the 2 last touches are good they’ll start winning games.

Davies is gonna remember that PK for the rest of his life. Unfortunate situation, bad shot but the ref took too long to give the go ahead. They should have atleast gotten one more penalty.

Man dammit, Canada really have a mental block when it comes to scoring. They overthinking it when they need to put a boot through the ball, and putting a boot through the ball when they need an extra pass.

The problem really is those finishes are landing on the feet of the guys you dont want taking them....

Not bad for our first World Cup game in 36 years, but we have to take our chances. Larin should start against Croatia.

I'm not worried either, it's growing pains. Beating an aging Mexico team and a poorly coached USA team in qualifiers does not prepare you for good UEFA teams. Hopefully we can start playing friendlies against better opponents after this World Cup.

That's why the world will always love football tournaments though, right?

There's just the right amount of luck involved so that 9/10 the better team wins - you don't win leagues without being the best team - but everyone knows that on the right day any team of 11 can nick a 1-0 win against another team of 11 and that's why we're all still in love with a tournament that's 90 years old.

Its simpler than that..if you make a penalty shot and your CBs dont fall asleep on a 30 yard pass you win the game.....

When your best player is a left back and is being played way out of position, you're going to have a hard time scoring in big tournaments.

again this is how we got here
I love people watching canada for the first time . Without davies playing "out of position" we wouldn't have finished at the top of our group
