In the 2014 WC Final Argentina played similarly to today but just couldn't score all the chances they created. Now they did and it's looking a like a cakewalk :picard:

Debating that first penalty is pointless…yes the contact was “soft” but Dembele should have never put himself in that position.

Di Maria wasn’t going to do shyt from that position and if he somehow beats you, hats off to him for converting a low probability shot versus giving Messi a high probability PK

One consolation for French supporters - they score when they get a chance.

That have to get chances first though.

A bunch of those dudes claim to be sick from the air conditioning. AC is not usually used in their country and it's been a shock to their systems. :skip:

legionnaires (and other) bugs. i had a family member go down with legionnaires a few weeks ago. it was rough.

it's the midfield. rabiot and tchoumeini not enough to shore it up. england overpowered them but lacked up front. argentina are not making the same mistake.

england almost kept them on the back foot. argentina is doing them same.

BUT it is not over yet ...
I agree that there is an issue with the midfield yes but we also did the same against Morocco and Poland. That's why I think it's just the overall strategy. We played like this forever and now we need to switch it up which is impossible.

It's not over yet but our bench is thin and we don't have Giroud anymore for crosses...
