Yeah as soon as I saw the pen, I figured we’d get a bunch of stupid ass conspiracy posts in here

Even tho it was clearly a pen. Tho perhaps it was a weak one, but there has been a precedent for weak pens throughout the whole tourney for EVERY team so :yeshrug:

Its the type of pen you would be pissed if given against your team, but would also be pissed at your defender for giving the ref the opportunity to give it.

Nah it's not a player issue, it's a strategical one. That team has been happy hust sitting deep and countering this whole tourney. Now that it needs to press and be proactive, it doesnt know how to do it.

So we keep inviting pressure but until now we didnt face a team that was clinical. Kanté wouldnt be able to solve this because it's a team wise problem.

it's the midfield. rabiot and tchoumeini not enough to shore it up. england overpowered them but lacked up front. argentina are not making the same mistake.

i can't believe southgate went with the same team. i am assuming that he thinks that england's attack can keep france on the back foot.

england almost kept them on the back foot. argentina is doing better.

BUT it is not over yet ... maybe bring on another defensively minded midfielder - maybe fofana again (for rabiot)
