You must be joking.

In 2005 the French government declared a STATE OF EMERGENCY because of the civil unrest. The whole of France was literally on fire after the police murdered the two African and Arab kids in Clichy-sous-Bois.

I live next door in Belgium and I know what I'm talking about you fukkwit. Stop spreading lies here. How many names like Mahamadou or Fofana do you see in the corporate sector in Europe? Very, very low. Many of the immigrant youth are into music, sports or illegal activity where the barriers to entry is low.

Stop sugarcoating Europe.. it's a shyt place for African and Arab people.

You're Belgian (or you just live in Belgium), and I'm French, who do you think is more qualified on the matter ? I've lived in the banlieue parisienne all my life ffs and was in Sarcelles (iykyk) several times at the very moment the riots happened so no the country was NOT on fire lol.

Once again the riots were very concentrated in a very low number of communes. Those are facts, not what the TV had you believe.

Yes the country was in a state of emergency the same way it has been since the Bataclan terrorist attacks. The state of emergency in France just means that the government has more power when it comes to law enforcement (can make the army intervene on domestic matters, can restrict more liberties etc). You literally don't know what you're talking about.

And there are plenty of African and Arab names in the corporate world wtf. All my life, I've had Arab and African colleagues, like are you even in the corporate world in France to assert those takes ? As I say, go to any trade fair, any corporate/entrepreneur events and just look at the people

Music, sports and drug dealing being the only possibilities for Black and Arab people in France lololol. I swear :snoop:

Griezmann has been great. If you told me he'd been secretly watching videos of Joelinton's midfield masterclasses I'd not be surprised.

yeah similar in many ways.

i've been trying to figure out who griezmann's role reminds me of.

maybe gullit at chelsea or rijkaard at ajax (sweeping defenders supporting attack). maybe chris sutton (defender who could also attack) (but with skills).

maybe need to go as far back as der kaiser (beckenbauer). matteus sammer played sweeper and was effective upfield but was far less mobile.

greizmann is a lot like david silva but deeper. like yaya toure but without the power.

maybe anderson (united) could have done it had he kept his weight down and played with more guile. maybe with age. anderson was far younger at peak but had the tools and skillset as a basis. also anderson could pass long and short and was deceptively rapid for a flabby.

Tl;DR most like yaya toure (without the power) or the player anderson could have become.

edit: my bad thought link was to the whole doc. it's on BBC Iplayer though for those that can access.

Decent documentary on Messi BBC released before the WC. Doesn't really say nothing new but always interesting to hear the views of other pro's about great players (Cesc, Xavi, Rio all in the documentary). I really wish there was a podcast with ex pro's on it. I know Ben Foster got one but he mostly gets bums on. to hear football legends talk about the intricacies of the game would be great to watch.

Also props to Ronaldimho. He was a great mentor to Messi in those early years.

Anyone saying "im rooting for Argentina because France is a racist country" should brush up on Argentina :mjlol:

This thread has been a disaster the last few days.

We are about to see a great final.. two very talented teams.. and Messi vs. MBappe and most of what l see here the last few days is trash... uneducated.. posting. Do better.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Ousmane Dembele said the squad were not worried about the virus spreading to other players.

"We're not scared of that virus," he said. "Dayot and Adrien got a bit of a stomach ache; I made them a ginger and honey tea and then they felt better. I hope everyone will be ready for the final.

people seem to forget, you can just enjoy a game without rooting for anyone. you don't need to pick a side all the time. just enjoy the football itself.

I'd like Messi to win a WC so would be happy if Argentina win but lot of the time I just enjoy the game. If it's Germany vs Spain in a final, i'm just going to root for a good game

these americans just have to babble as if they know everything when they know very little at all about the outside world.

there are exceptions of course (@Rhakim knows everything ... :wow:) but these casuals :picard:

you don't see tons of non-americans up in the basketball/baseball/NFL/hockey threads trying to explain your sport to you the experts.

Rhakim doesn’t know shyt and he exposed that in this very thread. Get off his dikk.
