Griezmann is the one that is setting up the offense, linking up plays and making the right passes. Without him the team would be disjointed as fukk

when tchoumeini, rabiot and em walk their way up a passing cul-de-sac griezmann routinely drops into space giving them an out-ball and then he usually does something progressive with it.

i've said it for years, i think the guy is a first class twat but he has matured into an excellent player. there aren't many around who can do what he is doing and because he is so unorthodox other teams have not been able to get a handle on him.

And why is that shocking? Yes Mbappe and Dembele are crazy talents, but France has always been stuffed with talent in the Zidane/post-Zidane era. Benzema could be scoring two goals a game right now, or tanking the team with BS play. Griezmann has been an elite player for a long time...

griezmann has always been good at withdrawn attacking play and at recycling the ball. here he has added defence, pressing and above all reading and conducting of the game in that the game is almost flowing through him - much as it did at times with zidane, xavi, scholes, pirlo, xabi alonso. he is in turns showing the skills of a B2B, of a wandering 10 and at times those of a DLP - to an elite standard, all in the same match. it is like someone fused matheus sammer and david silva together (and then chopped him in half).

“How can Black people root for France over Argentina at this point of the tournament and think I’m a KOON for not understanding” :mjlol:

i voted for argentina to win. not because i like them but because i thought messi would finally have his tournament and in doing so add to the mounting annus-horribilus for CR7.

so now it boils down to whether i want to be right or whether i want france (who beat england) to win :patrice:

Right, because rooting for a team and voting for the team you think will win is the same :what::unimpressed:

What do you mean by "discredit the penalty"? I just discrediting the random stat.

This started when someone bragged that Messi had scored a goal almost every game. I pointed out that all but 2 of those goals were scored on penalty kicks that he didn't even win himself and his penalty conversion rate had been below the usual average. So how is it meaningful to brag about how many goals he's scoring in that situation?

Saying anything that could be considered even remotely tampering with the Messi legend certainly riles some feathers on here. Y'all are acting like I made some wild take or said he wasn't good or something. I ONLY said that he'd kicked an obscene # of penalties, 4x more than the second-most guy, and that's the only reason his goal-scoring stats for the cup were high. I'm not trying to discredit his entire legacy goddamn.

Embarrassing

Pretty incredible that 8 Morocco- based players played over the course of the semifinal. A credit to Moroccan football system that they didn’t look out of place.

Reminds me of those small basketball nations in the Olympics who make shyt happen cause all the players come out of the same system and have always played with each other tons even if they don't happen to have the talent to make the big leagues.

I am black i am rooting for france they have black players are a multiracial democracy, argentina has alot of racists and treat their black folks like thrash look at the video online circulating where they are mocking the black french players and their heritiage its sickening. Go on ****** and see the team they have the most hate against its france because to them its ''anti white'' aka has players of different ethnicity.
I'm tired of this excuse "I'm supporting France because the team is basically full of west Africans"

Have you been to France before? It is a very racist country. The "immigrants" are all huddled into the poverty stricken, violent Banlieues. Police brutality is a way of life there. France nearly burned to the ground in 2005 riots beacuse of these issues.

Outside of Rap music, football and drug dealing, African, Caribbean and Arab youth in France have ZERO opportunies.

stop with the babble :camby:

casual + american "soccer fan" :picard::mjlol:

why you guys feels the need to come up in here and terrorise normal football folk with your "football" babble is beyond me.
Brits and football

Fergie was the last Brit who could make me consider changing my opinion on anything football non-PL related. And he’s not even English :mjlol:

I don’t know why a Caribbean immigrant in the UK, who probably hasn’t watched football outside of the prem think his opinion on France. Especially over countless analysts and pundits. Kids and the internet these days :dahell:
