to Morocco for making it to the semifinals and creating more slots for African teams in the next world cup
It's crazy for me to see Black people in this thread and other places online rooting for France. IDGAF how many African players France has, I'll never support them in anything. As someone who is a descendant of people colonized by France I will always despise them for their past and current ongoing atrocities in Africa and their former colonies. I have nothing personal against their players, I fw Mbappe heavy and he's my favorite player but I can't rock with France at all.
But I don't fw with Argentina either. I wish both of these teams could lose in the final
messi doesnt track back
but yea agree with everything else
And why is that shocking? Yes Mbappe and Dembele are crazy talents, but France has always been stuffed with talent in the Zidane/post-Zidane era. Benzema could be scoring two goals a game right now, or tanking the team with BS play. Griezmann has been an elite player for a long time...Damn breh I don't know why you hate Griezmann so much but it's been funny to see in this thread.
And yeah Griezmann has been the best french player since the begining of the tournament, without him the team would collapse. He's the main creator on offense, always making the right pass and he's even impressive with his pressing. The stats back it up, I think he's the player who created the most chances in this WC. Everytime he plays with the national team dude becomes superman.
I'm rooting against Argentina for two reasons. #1, where are their blacks? Every other country in South America has black people. They don't? Why? Did they kill off their blacks? It's not encouraging. #2? I don't want to hear the endless bullshyt about Messi being better than Ronaldo because he won a World Cup. Nevermind he had the squad and could have done it in 2010. fukk Messi and fukk Argentina.
Oh believe me I know that France is always full of talent but I was surprised to see Griezmann doing so well as a creative attacking midfielder type without Pogba and Kanté. He's always been elite but I'm happy to see that this role suits him, he's aging and could continue on this path for many more years. And why is that shocking? is this the first time the third place match is a rematch from the group stage?
Watched every major cup since the 90s, watch about just about every Madrid game since the 90s except CL and I listen to pros and analyze based on what they say.
Those teams had relatively solid defense (yes it can be spelled [spelt for the untraveled] in different ways depending on which region you have your autocorrect set to) for being NATIONAL TEAMS. And yes they were better than this France. But that doesn't make them poor. Not heard anyone say that, I've heard people say that Upamecano was overly aggressive vs England, as he has been in Bayern as well.
