What Messi showed was genuine emotion following a highly charged set of events. That's as someone who rarely speaks out or kicks off in such a way.

If anything it showed his humanity.

With Ronaldo you know absolutely everything he does is calculated and done cynically in order to further his reputation, so the two would hit very different.
