The fact that they're rich as fukk makes the fact that they act like a third-world country worse, not better. :dead:

They're per-capita as wealthy as the USA yet they just now raised raised the minimum wage to $1 an hour. And everyone knows that plenty of their labour force doesn't actually getting paid that.

Their official figures claimed that only 3 laborers died in World Cup construction, yet workers are dying right in front of World Cup teams as we speak. An upper level official admitted the true figure was more like 400-500 deaths, but their immigration figures show ~20,000 migrant laborers have died since construction started so there's a good bet they're still fudging numbers on a huge scale.

Those salaries are NOT for qataris. The natives number only about 10% of the population - meaning that per-capita Qatar is (for qataris and foreign exceptions) in effect several times richer than the USA per capita.

"Qatar has about 2.6 million inhabitants as of early 2017, the vast majority of whom (about 92%) live in Doha, the capital.[1] Foreign workers amount to around 88% of the population, the largest of which comprise South Asians, with those from India alone estimated to be around 700,000.[2] Egyptians and Filipinos are the largest non-South Asian migrant group in Qatar"

"Native Qataris can be divided into three ethnic groups: Bedouin Arabs, Hadar, and Afro-Arab. They [Native Qataris] comprise 11.6% of the country's population."

-

"The average Qatari household earns QR72,700 ($19,918) a month, nearly three times the average expat household income of QR24,400 ($6,685), new figures from the Ministry of Development and Planning Statistics (MDPS) show.
When taking into account housing, free electricity and water, the Qatari income figure increases to QR88,200 ($24,164)."

"Only 15% of the population is native. For them, life is beautiful: electricity, water, and healthcare are free, state pensions are paid without having contributed to the pension fund, and if you borrow from banks, interest rates are very low."

so qatar is more barbaric than it is "third world". for native qataris they live like kings. i've even spotted the odd breh qatari in groups of high ranking local world cup management. many immigrants there live in third world conditions in one of the richest places on earth.

Bullshyt. In-game penalties are rare as hell - so far this year there's only been 14 penalties shot in 58 games, and even that number is distorted by the fact that they let Messi shoot a penalty in every game. Since two teams play every match, if your name isn't Messi than your team had less than a 1 in 10 chance of taking a penalty in any one game (11 penalties across 111 non-Argentina team games played).

On top of that, only 1 out of 16 players shoots that in-game penalty. So not only do 90% of the teams not shoot a penalty, but over 90% of the players on any one team aren't going to be the one shooting it even if they do. So if you're a World Cup soccer player there is less than 1 in 100 chance that you'll shoot an in-game penalty at any point in the World Cup.

Yet then you do this totally artificial penalty shootout where most of the players involved would never be picked to shoot the in-game penalty, where they all do it in an artificial atmosphere lined up one after the other, and where the goalie is in sync defending them instead of just getting one in the course of play. There's a reason why success rate in penalty shootouts is significantly lower than success rate in in-game penalties.

NONE of the players kicking penalties for the Netherlands has taken an in-game penalty shot at any point this entire World Cup. Same goes for Brazil in the shootout they lost. Same goes for Japan in the shootout they lost. Morocco hadn't taken a single in-game penalty all World Cup before their shootout, nor had Croatia before they shot 10 of them in shootouts.

It's ridiculous that half the World Cup semifinalists have already been decided based on something that resembles a practice drill more than any actual gameplay.
What would be cool would be a golden goal situation but allow 6 extra subs after the 90 minute mark. Play 60 minutes and if it’s still 0-0 go to whoever has the most shots on goal. shyt would be lit. If Vince McMahon ever make a XLS league I want to see it. :wow:

@jj23 funny how your awfully quiet when your darling Messi acts like a pos. If this was CR7 you wouldn't have let it go and would have been mentioning me left, right and centre.

Talk about double standards. I see you bruh :mjlol:
He talked shyt before the game. Messi took that personally.

Notice it wasn't because of a personal dig or a comment on his hair. Messi basically said don't come for me or my teammates or past players.

I know you think it's the same as CR7 acting like an idiot when he doesn't get his way, but that just shows where your values lie.

Either way, this world cup has emphatically proved the point about CR7.

Nothing left to be said. No more @s coming your way.
