Do you actually know football or you just talking out your ass. Golden goal was sudden death in OT, but you would have teams park the bus in ET because no one wanted to give up a cheap ass PK to lose a game.
How is that different from Croatia parking the bus the whole fukking game and hoping it goes to PK?
Croatia hasn't led a knockout match in regular time since 1998 and yet they're on the verge of going to the championship game for the second straight World Cup on the strength of four consecutive penalty shootout victories.
What happens if teams play 3 hours and no one scores? They should keep playing?
There are three ways to break a tie when a winner is needed.
1. A replay - can’t do that in a fixed tourney
2. Away goals - only works on two legged ties
3. PKs - Makes sense
Golden Goal would be an improvement at least.
The decreasing players solution would be awesome television.
But at the least they need to do ADG. At least that involves actual soccer gameplay and all the players on the field being involved, rather than this bullshyt where 3-4 people decide the match based more on mindgames than actual soccer play.
