It's a tournament we never do well in unless it on home soil (96 & 2020) or We have someone like Rooney bursting on to the international stage (04 and we went out as soon as he got injured)

most time we have been in it since I've been watching it, we don't even get out of the group (2000) or don't even get any points what so ever (92 and I think 88 as well)

Christ in 08 when our golden generation was in their peak years we couldn't even qualify
