It's a television show and ratings are important. Why do you think the new format is nothing but Skip and Screamin A. Smith? They are both characters and people tune in because they either love or hate them.

This is some weird ass shyt to feel this way.. A normal person would just be like don't watch the show then but I can't stop..

He has to act that way to save his character. If he says, "ok i was wrong", then everything is over. He can never go back to his character again.

He still has a 50-50 chance this year and Lebron basically has to win a title otherwise he's not gonna stop trolling. Even if Lebron does win, it's only 1

Yeah, but you have to be pretty stupid to think anything on First Take should be taken seriously. No sensible person would base an option on Lebron based off of what Skip Bayless says.

It is no different than watching any news channel. EVERY talking head on television has an agenda. At the end of the day, it comes down to television ratings.

newsflash. there are a lot of stupid people in this country. that show is heavily influencing people's views of Lebron. i'm not even sure why Lebron still has a relationship with that network.

Has jalen been on that show since lol. After that bomb dropped they spent a week trying to defuse that situation. If lebron wins a ring u think he should shout him out; or just come on that show and just rip him to shreds

Skip talks so much BS that not even Skip believes 75% of what Skip babbles.

But I'm starting to suspect that racism motivates
--Skip's criticism of Lebron &
--Skip's refusal to give Lebron full credit when it is due.
No matter what Lebron achieves, Skip _always_ includes a caveat or a "notwithstanding." This commentary by SB is infuriating. It is unjustified. It is nitpicking -- finding tiny chinks in the armor of an agile linebacker freak-of-nature athlete who plays tremendously well in the NBA. Lebron has no criminal record & no damning personal flaws.

Skip uses the First Take forum to bully & to provoke & to tease Lebron. WHY? It'd cost Skip nothing to acknowledge Bron's greatness. It would cost Bayless $0.

Lebron should internalized NONE of this unmerited criticism, just as Tebow must internalize 0% of Skip's empty praise. Skip is like tht Greek philosopher Socrates or Plato who was put to death by snake poison for corrupting the youth of Athens. Skip Bayless is the ass gnat pestilance of USA sports.

i agree. Mr.1.4 has probably the biggest forum of ANYBODY. 4hrs on tv everyday. who else has that platform to give there opinions? he is the main reason for the hatred of LeBron plain and simple. ill be the 1st to admit my "hatred" for Skip but ill also admit he's pretty damn entertaining at the same time. at the end of the day this is how he pays his bills. he is a character and has to get on ppl nerves to stay on tv. thats how i look at him. its crazy how much i hate the show yet every morning its the 1st thing i turn my tv to

ratings went through the roof when it was just SAS and Skip debating today's topics especially when Tebow or LeBron did something. They had been slowly phasing out the interviews, etc making it "Skip vs. The World" during last football season. Out of all the guest debaters they had on, the ratings spiked on Wednesdays because of SAS. They finally made it official about a month ago that it would be Skip vs. SAS everyday. When they made the announcement, Skip/SAS said they had been trying to get a show with them 2 debating for about 12 years until they finally accomplished it

yeah def gave him the with that statement. Honestly after watching mayweather and manny's last fights i think mayweather would win easily. Manny's punching power is gone, he's aggressive but he doesnt have the speed to hit manny.
