the point is that there was no closure. so there will continue to be these discussions and statement made about iverson for years to come.

im sure hes washed by this point, so im not interested in a comeback anymore. BUT THE FACT REMAINS that he was run out of the league prematurely. i'd bet that hes washed now in 2013, but i'll never know for sure because he wasnt washed in 2010 when he got blackballed.

you cant die an honest death if the powers that be have it in for you. the public wont allow it.

:comeon: If he wasn't washed he woulda still be playing. The nikka went from putting up 30 every night to avg. 14 and he wasn't washed? :dwillhuh: What more do you need to see? :heh:

When you are 5'10 once your speed is gone you are done and that's what happened to AI. He didnt' have the option of developing a post game like Kobe and Mike. And he certainly didn't take of his body.

Get that blackballed shyt out of here. Spreewell choked a coach and Artest started a fukkin riot and they weren't blackballed. And neither of these guys were anywhere near the draw AI was. nikkas who can still produce don't get blackballed.

he averaged 14 while playing hurt(he shouldnt have been playing) and purposely over-deferring. you dont go from averaging 30 to 14 overnight just like that.

im not saying that hes still an elite player but he can definitely produce more than alot of these other vets cashing checks.

its 2013 and niccas still brainwashed. whats funny is, even some of the analysts were telling you what it was while the chit was going down, yet some people are still in the dark.

You still think a 38 yr old 5'10 AI can contribute but I am brainwashed? :pachaha: Why would teams blackball a proven draw who can still contribute. That makes no sense. Unless of course you have invested a personal, emotional stake in a man you never met and need to believe he was blackballed because accepting that he is done is just too much to bear. :to:

if a 6'0 derek fisher(no disrespect) can stroll in and out of the league and start whenever he wants, then theres a place for iverson.

and he certainly was far-far from finished when he got ran out of the league, WHICH WAS PRETTY MUCH ALL I WAS SAYING WITH THAT COMMENT. with that said, i have no vested interest. im just not a stupid niqqer.

good day.

D. Fish's claim to fame is being a clutch role player. Only reason he's still around is to be a veteran presence and leader on the strength of his 5 rings and hit a big shot or two. You think AI can fit or would be willing to fit such a role?

I just need you to explain to me why teams would pass on a proven draw who can still play. How does this make sense? AI never had a shortage of squads willing to have him when he was at his peak. He was always a hood nikka. That didnt' stop him from going number 1 or being one of the most heavily marketed guys in the league. To ignore the size (ll) and the :flabbynsick: and try to act like people just ran him out for the hell of it may or may not be stupid but it certainly doesn't make sense.

after that run-in with that last dude on here, i made it a note to not waste time on certain topics anymore.

like i said, if you still dont realize that dude got blackballed after all this time, then theres nothing i can say at this point. its obviously just not for you to understand.

its like jalen rose said concerning this situation: "people that have it in for you, will kick you on your way down".

i'll just leave it at that. i also remember they tried to run iverson out of the league years prior, but they werent successful.

So why were "they" successful this time. "They" just happened to be successful after he had clearly fallen off. What a coincidence. :ld: If he could still produce at a high level best believe he'd be on a roster somewhere.

:whoa: its a known fact that AI was blackballed it was so blatant they asked him to play in the d-league just look at the end of alot of these team benches AI cant play 15-20 min :rudy:

exactly. it just goes to show how the media can easily manipulate people.

the worst part is that he was ballin in memphis, then a week later, theyre calling for his retirement. beyond blatant.

nobody is disputing the fact that AI was blackballed. People are just blaming him for his own demise. he could stayed in league earning 5-8 million a year if he accepted the bench role Memphis wanted him to play. Everybody in they mother knew MEMPHIS was his last real chance. Philly was just the nail the coffin.

what are you talking about? the whole point of this argument is because the bul @FTBS is DENYING that iverson was blackballed. there seems to be a legion of posters that share the same sentiments on this site.

lol @ memphis. the whole idea of iverson coming off the bench for that squad is a joke and disrespectful. and the fact that memphis was "his last chance" is a crock of chit. most of these ballplayers are either divas or got some type of other chit with them. the difference with iverson is that he is a powerful figure, represents counter-culture and pissed the wrong people off, like david stern.

the more appropriate statement should be "Everybody and they mother know that iverson was gonna get ran out of the league prematurely as soon as he dropped out of the elite rankings". those big-wigs always hated iverson. niccas know what it is.

even analysts like jalen rose & others were telling yall what it was live on television.
