US Imposed Military Occupation of Haiti For 19 yrs creating predecessor of brutal Haitian military 2 stamp out revolt.
Important 2 note US military's first use & experiment w/combined air & ground forces was against rebels with Charlemagne Peralte.
I didnt watch it but i heard from other haitians it was good but most likely wont go deep as the information i post in this thread when comes to the US shaping the current politics of HaitiWhere can I watch the 1804 movie for free? I'm finna just pay if I cant find a free link or something and is it worth watching? I know the history is good but did they do a good job?
Those people never cared anyway. Fuk themJust read through this whole thread. I always tell people I talk to whenever Haiti is brought up about early haitian history starting from 1804~present.
A LOT of folks don't know what the fukk is going on or happened. They just see Haiti's condition and think it's just simply because Haitians are incompetent and unable to govern themselves and NEED US intervention. I heard someone say once they should just let the US take Haiti, I wanted to roll my eyes to the back of my skull. Can't believe some of the comments I've heard coming out of the mouths of some Haitians. it's even worse when you got DR next door seemingly looking better overall and full of other people
Yeah. Who? you hoe ass nikka. You went from not knowing Haiti was occupied by the US and the current proxy occupation of US to posting like another fake haitian intellectual.@Jesus is my protector , can we get a ban for people posting misinformation in this thread?

Also i see you stealing information from lipstickally or that could be you posting misinformation on that site you weirdo
Reparations for Haiti just repost other people stuff. That was also in tariq 1804 film I believeI'm still researching it but for now I believe @loyola llothta source on Dessalines buying ADOS slaves and setting them free maybe authentic for now. For one we have a primary source on it. I don't fukk with "Reparations for Haiti" on twitter because to be honest that dude is a full blown weirdo but the person he/she quoted the source from is Orlando Aurélien who I follow on twitter. And she/he posts a lot of good and authentic material on Haitian history. Again for now we DO have a primary source this but.... I'm doing some more digging. Either way this doesn't warrant a ban. If you feel its incorrect then just correct it.
I don't know him personally but he comes off as weirdo on Twitter.Reparations for Haiti just repost other people stuff. That was also in tariq 1804 film I believe

I made a reference in my last post about reasons for putting people on ignore.
I logged out and read the past few posts to see what / who you two were responding to.

The social media post you responded to is FALSE.
The first red flag is the $40 USD price. In the time the letter was written (1804) the price for enslaved adult in the US was way more than 40 dollars.
Dessalines was putting up that money to secure passage for Haitian Blacks and gens de couleur who were stranded in America, to return back.
The enslaved were taken there by whites fleeing the Revolution. Some of the mulattoes enslaved and free had fled or been taken there for the same reasons
The words of the decree spell it out if you read it again.
Haitian leaders made a lot of overtures to other groups of Blacks since independence, but this was not one of them.
