Which start point? Like trying to figure out which product? Or you know the product and now just need to get your storefront up?Are there any particular youtube channels/courses yall recommend to get started on this?
Pretty much starting from the ground up. Figuring out which product(s) then moving on to the websites etcWhich start point? Like trying to figure out which product? Or you know the product and now just need to get your storefront up?
Now doing all of direct website/etsy/amazon/walmart - Amazon is just the easiest, despite the commission.
For Amazon/FBA I found that Travis Marziani guy really helpful. Followed him before he really blew up but his playlists on Youtube is all you need:
If looking for tutorials on direct website ie Wordpress + Woocommerce I have a few links saved from way back that can get you started within the day. Basically just follow step by step.
Definitely that same Youtube channel in my last post. He shows how to sort of scrape Amazon for potential hitters. His method requires mass purchases from overseas and then selling those items under your own label, so that can be an entire process and even more difficult if it's a competitive item where you are racing to the bottom for pricing.Pretty much starting from the ground up. Just going off here in Toronto I find alot of companies are always looking for people to manage their listings on their direct webistes, where they are using something like Wordpress/WooCommerce or Shopfiy. And then alot of other ones don't have the wherewithal to get on Amazon because of all the UPC purchasing and listing creation since that takes alot of time for some. I see alot of Amazon Seller Central positions. Might be a start? Unless you meant something else.tips for getting a job in ecommerce?

Might be better to think of items you'd want to sell (have a passion for) and search Amazon to see what the competition is like because all these Youtubers, while helpful, have like 50K people all watching the same vid on their suggestions lol - but the methods can be applied to find other products.

Product Management is good. Also Project Management as a whole seems to be a good position/payscale. After that it seems to be full on analyst/strategist which would seem to require a different type of experiement/schooling requirement and beyond me lol.I’m in Toronto too
I currently manage a website that uses magento and also help my coworker manage our Amazon seller central store. Amazon is beginning to be a pain in the ass only currently because of the sku submission changeover but I honestly don’t mind working with it more extensively. The company I’m with is looking to dump Amazon as well.
What kinda positions would you suggest trying? I’ve looked mostly in product management but not sure what else I should be looking for
do you even need a specific type of school for project management? I swear every posting Ive ever looked at in that realm never asked for itProduct Management is good.
