So it's been about 2 months now since I started sending daily shipments to FBA of my top skus (years past it'd be a few units here and there but never consistent). Required alot of scheduling and discipline to stick to my goal of pressing a certain amount of garments a night (along with handling my daily merchant fulfilled orders.) + balancing family.

My rolling 30 days is comping about 30% over last year same time, around 25% MTD vs last year. I was at -8% YTD before the first shipment to now +5% YTD just from these two months clawing it all back. I know shoppers look and filter for that "Prime" badge but it is even more eye opening when you see the difference in sales instantly. Would definitely urge those to do it if you can with FBM as your backup. The initial capital can be tough in certain categories like apparel as I need to load up on all sizes ie S/M/L/XL/2XL/3XL and then allocate more inventory to certain sizes - but it is definitely paying off.

I'm actually more grateful now to the customers to bought stuff from me without a prime badge, lol. Not sure how accurate the Amazon inventory planner is so whatever they are suggesting I am sending it out in advance of their recommended date.

Also completed the Brand Registry. Process was easier than I thought. Partnered with the IP accelerator Law Firm. They had everything finalized in about a day. Sent off the trademark application. Once we had the trademark application number, it was 14 days before I could do the brand registry on Amazon. Did that last week and it took them about 3 days to approve. So just FYI for anyone looking to do same. They also applied it to all marketplaces so atleast I don't have to do the same thing in the US also.

Are there any particular youtube channels/courses yall recommend to get started on this?
Which start point? Like trying to figure out which product? Or you know the product and now just need to get your storefront up?
Now doing all of direct website/etsy/amazon/walmart - Amazon is just the easiest, despite the commission.

For Amazon/FBA I found that Travis Marziani guy really helpful. Followed him before he really blew up but his playlists on Youtube is all you need:

If looking for tutorials on direct website ie Wordpress + Woocommerce I have a few links saved from way back that can get you started within the day. Basically just follow step by step.

Pretty much starting from the ground up. Figuring out which product(s) then moving on to the websites etc

Definitely that same Youtube channel in my last post. He shows how to sort of scrape Amazon for potential hitters. His method requires mass purchases from overseas and then selling those items under your own label, so that can be an entire process and even more difficult if it's a competitive item where you are racing to the bottom for pricing.
Might be better to think of items you'd want to sell (have a passion for) and search Amazon to see what the competition is like because all these Youtubers, while helpful, have like 50K people all watching the same vid on their suggestions lol - but the methods can be applied to find other products.

tips for getting a job in ecommerce?
Just going off here in Toronto I find alot of companies are always looking for people to manage their listings on their direct webistes, where they are using something like Wordpress/WooCommerce or Shopfiy. And then alot of other ones don't have the wherewithal to get on Amazon because of all the UPC purchasing and listing creation since that takes alot of time for some. I see alot of Amazon Seller Central positions. Might be a start? Unless you meant something else.

:salute: I’m in Toronto too

I currently manage a website that uses magento and also help my coworker manage our Amazon seller central store. Amazon is beginning to be a pain in the ass only currently because of the sku submission changeover but I honestly don’t mind working with it more extensively. The company I’m with is looking to dump Amazon as well.

What kinda positions would you suggest trying? I’ve looked mostly in product management but not sure what else I should be looking for

Product Management is good. Also Project Management as a whole seems to be a good position/payscale. After that it seems to be full on analyst/strategist which would seem to require a different type of experiement/schooling requirement and beyond me lol.

These are pretty helpful. I'd also say try looking at any tutorials on youtube from Jungle Scout. I used a couple when troubleshooting some sku submission stuff back in March
