Conservatives hate change. So instead of trying to manage change and make sure it happens in a structured organized way, they try to thwart and even stop change. Society can't stay stuck in 1950 forever. However, that is exactly what conservatives try to do. Until conservatives accept that change is inevitable, they will never win the presidency again.

Pretty much. As far as I can tell, their only options are to:

1. Throw the Tea Party in the bushes and move toward the center, and hopefully get more moderate votes

2. Throw the religious right in bushes and become more flexible on social issues (abortion, gay marriage, etc.) and hopefully get more of the youth and female vote

3. Throw their xenophobes in the bushes and become more moderate on immigration, and hopefully get more of the Hispanic vote

They're losing too badly among minorities, young voters, and women to win a national election now. We're past the point where angry old white guys can carry an election.

Oh, and Cenk>>>*

The reality is that the no matter how badly Obama screwed up he starts off with like 250 electoral votes. Tines have changed there wasn't much Romney could do to win. Electorally republicans are going to find it very difficult to win...I have a plan that I'll make a thread on some other day on how to deal with this
