I haven’t patronized them yet but there’s a growing number of weed dispensaries out in some of the neighborhoods.
You can hit up Penn Social which is a lounge Downtown just a few blocks from Chinatown. Entry is free and the dance lounge is in the basement with a full service bar, good music, and a few games on deck. Pretty mixed crowd, age demographic I’d say range from 25 to 33. Everybody’s cool with each other.
Hit up U Street, Adams Morgan, Shaw, and Georgia Ave on Saturday too and get a feel for the vibe of those spots especially as it gets warmer. I also highly recommend you check out the Metro PCS on 7th & Florida Ave to check out a very authentic DC experience with GoGo being played loudly from the store’s speakers with a crowd of people going about their way while some stragglers congregate and vibe the music’s unfiltered high energy. It was also in the media spotlight recently, especially on Twitter. You should look into it.
