Just ordered Shallow Grave and Scanners finally...I held off for a bit because I thought I may want the steelbook for Scanners, but its bland as fukk and I love the Criterion artwork for Scanners

Great damn movie. I watched it waaaaaay back in the day and loved it; Boyle has a very underrated filmography and that one-two punch of Shallow Grave and Trainspotting is one of the best back to back directorial efforts ever
:snoop: @ me for passing on the trainspotting blu the other day for $6

saw blow-up (don't think it's criterion)

and then blow out (which is).. i enjoyed blow-out more though i'd never care to see either again

Just finished Pierrot Le Fou.. :ld:

first french flick i didnt care for.. the fist 15 min were dope visually..but what kinda movie is this? a musical? a hipster drama? a mystery? an action flick?.. broke the 4th wall a few times.. was just all over the place

and the lead actress was annoying..two times they intentionally dispose of their money (blow up the car with it in the trunk and she throws it in the sea)..only to have them do stupid plays and drawings for tourists to get money? :dahell:

and the 30 times she called him Pierrot and he was like "my name is Ferdinand" :beli:

we'll see if it sticks with me i read a review where dude said he didnt like it the first time he saw it and months later wanted to see it again and thinks its a masterpiece

Bruhs.

Harakiri............holy shyt. One of the best films I've ever seen. EASILY my favorite samurai film. Transcends it's genre in a way few films can claim.

10/10 MASTERPIECE.

Purchase it immediately. Can't wait to delve into the supplements tomorrow. Would hit it up tonight, but #Ferguson is erupting.
