I may pickup La Dolce Vita at some point too lol.....damn good month after several without much that interests me

I had to to ahead and pick up the complete mr arkadin tonight before this coupon expired, so that means I'll be looking for the blu ray upgrade to come on the heels of this f for fake announcement

Im at BN and the dude is being being a fakkit and wont let me use the coupon he pretended to scan it. I knew when i walked in he would be a dikk. He tried pointing out the july 9th date im like thats for memberships it clearly has expiration date on top

I've never seen anything by Tati....any suggestions as an intro? I've seen several people recommend Playtime, but others have said it's quite experimental...which I'm fine with, just wondering if there is a better "first" Tati film to experience?

....and I can't bring myself to buy ANY DVDs....I'm content to wait for upgrades

Not Criterion but finally watched Sorcerer today.

Not as good as Wages of Fear, but still not bad. It was manlier than Wages of fear, for whatever that's worth.

Not as good as Wages of Fear, but still not bad. It was manlier than Wages of fear, for whatever that's worth.

I think they're both great films. IMO, Sorcerer has a superior beginning and ending, but Wages is a much more tense, harrowing experience during the journey.

Like I've said though, it is absolutely how a remake should be handled.

breh, the first dvd I've bought in at least two years. was kind of regretting it until the package arrived, and now I couldn't be happier

I admittedly have not seen all his films, but Holiday or Mon Oncle I think would be great introductions. my shytty Tati amalgam would be Chaplin meets Wes Anderson
