Why isn't Captain Marvel in Jail for attempted murder?! :martin: This broad actually damn near kills someone nothing happens to her but an inhuman sees a future of someone doing something bad they get arrested? :camby:
I forget who it was but someone on here theorized that this event would end or climax with Ulysses giving a prediction of either Carol killing someone or of a future where she went too far... like the ultimate reality check / turnabout is fair play on her ass.

...but clearly that was too obvious (and good) of a twist to explore, so we had to get this empty nonsense instead.

I legit feel like I wasted my money on CWII #8

Now, I did read spoilers before I copped...but;

  • So, Carol was wrong all along?!? Breh was projecting multiple futures?!?
  • I always hate time travel/future seeing
  • WTF happened to Tony? Was he just projecting himself over the last two years (which Secret Wars happened in between)?

.

:mindblown:

Like, if you know the future and try to change the future, in the present, by going to the past or changing the immediate future...isn't the future just a projection of the past as you discover the future and try to make changes to the future by manipulating the present.

I see why ya'll don't like Bendis.

The art was 10/10, though.

Watching
CW2 angers me cause in time they're just gonna be friends again. :mindblown: And they got rid of the whole point of fighting. Imagine if after the first CW they said fukk the registration act.

Killed and damaged characters that deserve better just to prop up Danvers.

:snoop: I will never like Spoiler. :lolbron:

I haven't checked out a Marvel event since Secret War :yeshrug:
You made a wise choice.

Granted, Pleasant Hill should've never been an "event". The actual plot really only needed Steve, Sam, Bucky as the main heroes.

In truth tho, as much criticism as we could give Hickman for everything in the 3-4 years that led up to SW... Secret Wars as a stand alone was still epic. Flaws and all, you could pick it up today or give it to someone brand new to comics and you/they would likely fukk with it on some level.

Bendis' events used to feel that way... like 10 years ago. House of M, Secret Invasion. But he's long since gotten lazy and so has Marvel.

Yeah events need to have epic moments and splash pages which Secret War delivered on Black Panther with the gauntlet, the pit with all the marvel monsters, Odin Tree Groot, the fight in the first issue I can go on and on. Plus it felt like a culmination due to the Hickman build up from FF and his Avengers titles. Esad Ribic did a excellent job as well.

I can't believe some of you idiots actually bought this event. We all knew it would be :trash: before it even started. :mjlol:

Can't decide which was worse: Original Sin, Axis or CW2. :patrice:

Axis had some ridiculous fukkery. :mjlol: :dead:

:mjpls:

Axis>>>Original Sin>>>>>CW2

Axis at least gave that iTony design...
Only thing I remember about Original Sin is shyt made Thor unworthy and Nick became a Watcher
CW2 is/was completely unnecessary

Maybe you thought it would be good, but I didn't :mjlol:

Someone please tell me the letterer fukked up when he put the dialogue "Good job almost killing Captain America!" over Tony and Carol responded with "Damn you!" even though Cap was caught in the blast of missiles that Tony recklessly fired all around. Or is Bendis really that fukking stupid? Probably, because he's the same fukking idiot who has Eternity welcoming Ulysses into his new "cosmic" role even though Eternity is supposed to be in chains and has been in chains since the goddamn debut of The Ultimates where it has been a series-overlapping mystery.

:camby:Bendis and :camby: anyone who supports this fukking a$$hole.
