I doubt Hickman does anything for Marvel for a few more years. FF/Avengers/Infinity/Time Runs Out/Secret Wars was basically his big marvel story. :wow:

Dude said he just wanted to focus on his indie stuff. Can't blame him, he wrote his ass off

Don't forget editorial kept fukking with his shyt so he probably got tired of all the meddling as well. Secret Warriors got cut short, FF got cut short, they pretty much made him involve Thanos in Infinity and word is that the big Secret Wars delays were because Marvel wanted certain things to be altered for their newly rebooted status quo.

OK, so Luke Cage is from Harlem, Captain America and Miles Morales are from Brooklyn, Daredevil's from Hell's Kitchen, & Peter Parker's from Queens. Are there no Marvel characters from the Bronx?
If Im not mistaken The Kingpin is from the Bronx

Yea did probably did get tired of editorial interference.

Thanos in infinity was dumb. Only there to set up two plot points. One of which got dropped :laff:

Wouldn't be surprised about the Secret Wars stuff. Seemed like he had everything planned out, so there shouldn't have been any delays.

nah, they severed the connection between his brain and his body. They trapped him in his body the same way he trapped The Maker/Beyonder way back in Thanos #... 9, I think it was?

Still don't make him no less than a bytch. Being stalemated by fukking Carol and America Chavez. :stopitslime:

It did reach the point where it became blatant that editorial was fukking with Hickman's run with some of the nonsensical stuff that would occur, like Thanos in Infinity.

Also, I actually think Cap was supposed to be more involved, his descent to crazed obsession with stopping Stark was intended to be fleshed out better. Remember how after the infinity gem traveled him through space/time to meet old hawkeye, adult franklin richards, kang, etc, he was told he had to stop Stark at all costs, and then he remembered that it was the illuminati that brainwashed him?

That issue ended with him gathering all the Avengers and confronting Tony on some

Hickman was about to blow the roof off the house right there, but Marvel still needed the Avengers 'together' for geriatric Steve to happen and the Axis event. So next thing you know, that cliffhanger completely disappeared and those plot points of him traveling deep into the future was essentially dropped. which made steve's obsession with the illuminati later on a bit ridiculous with the multi-verse at stake.. when really, i believe hickman's point was to drive home that Steve thought that the Illuminati (and Stark in particular) would be the ones destined to destroy the universe, not the Cabal nor the incursions.

What are some good Valiant comics to get into?

X-O Manowar by Venditti is the best Valiant book since the '12 relaunch, it hit #50 this week actually. The book has a minor slump somewhere in the middle but for the rest it's great sci-fi action.

Harbinger is really good too. It also has a similar slump in it and the ending isn't really all that (although the story is still ongoing in other books) but again, the good tends to overshadow the bad here. Also features one of the best comic book antagonists in Toyo Harada.

For pure action you got Bloodshot. Pretty much all the iterations of the book are solid to good, although I still prefer the OG run.

If you're more into comedy and off-beat science stuff, you can't go wrong with Quantum & Woody by James Asmus and Archer & Armstrong by Fred van Lente. Both runs have ended already and aren't too long, so they're easy to get into.

A book that's fairly young is Wrath Of The Eternal Warrior by Robert Venditti (same writer as X-O Manowar). It probably helps if you're a bit familiar with the character (this book is a restart after some earlier books featuring the character didn't really work out that well so there's already some history there). Either way it's a very promising start.

You could also check out some of Matt Kindt's work to see if it's to your liking. I'm not a fan of his work and generally avoid him, but he writes a lot of Valiant stuff so if you do dig him, there's a whole bunch of books you can pick up.

So young storm and old man logan really about to be a couple? :scust:
Storm is appearing in Black Panther's book next week, so X-Men editorial had to run their counter-offensive :mjpls:

Wolverine x Storm is only used to cock block T'Challa, afterwards Wolverine goes back to simpin whichever incarnation of Jean Grey is lying around

Not for nothing I would not be surprised if this is actually pretty accurate to what is happening behind the scenes..... :francis:
